Injury Consultation & Treatment
A thorough assessment of your injury, strength and mobility, then hands-on treatment and a clear plan to get you back to what you love.
The right diagnosis saves months
A proper assessment is the foundation of your recovery. Misdiagnosis can lead to months of unnecessary treatment, so we take the time to understand how the injury happened, measure your strength and look for any differences in joint range of motion.
If you need further investigation, such as an X-ray or MRI, we'll write a referral letter for your GP.
What your treatment may include
Your plan is built around what we find, combining the techniques that suit your injury. Each one is chosen to reduce pain and swelling, restore movement and strength, and get you back to where you were before the injury, or even further.
Sports massage
Hands-on work to ease pain, reduce swelling and relax tight muscles.
Exercise rehabilitation
What you do off the couch matters most. We give you the right exercises and loads to progress safely at home, in the gym or outdoors.
Joint mobilisations and manipulations
Techniques that help relieve pain and relax surrounding muscles. The “crack” is gas releasing from the joint fluid, not a joint going back into place, and a gentle mobilisation is often just as effective. We'll always check you're comfortable first.
Acupuncture
Fine needles to relieve muscle tightness and reduce pain.
Taping and strapping
Rigid tape for joint stability, or kinesiology tape to support muscles and movement as you recover.
